standards harmonization project

PLC Open has been appointed as a Class D Liaison to IEC SC65B/WG7, which has launched an exercise to revise the IEC 61131-3 standard and to harmonise it with the IEC 61499 standard.

Given that some O³neida members are also PLC Open members and given that O³neida has launched internal activities related to the harmonization development process, we believe that the base is being established for a strong collaboration between the two organizations.

O³neida has formed a small workgroup to lead this task.


New Working Group

O³neida has formed a work group to liaise with and support PLC Open in their activities relating to the revision of the 61131-3 standard and its harmonization with the 61149 standard.

O3neida has not yet received confirmation from PLC Open of their interest in launching this activity.
